When we think of homes, we think of memories built around them. The beauty of a house is making it a home, the foundation of being where we live and surrounded by those who share the home with us. What makes a home significant are the stories behind them.  Sometimes we get to hear those stories and what I do is tell them. Whether it’s listing, designing or both, it’s a part of what I do, creating a visual of each home.

I am a writer for my business and one thing I always make sure of, is to tell the story of the home I’m working on.  From the Post Oak Lofts to Westhaven Estates, Houston, I started writing about my projects years ago, each telling a story about the inspiration behind them.

My recent listing 901 Longmire, House #17, in Conroe is a different kind of story, a combination of an architectural showcase and clients who had the home built to perfection. The home, constructed in 2008, was designed artfully and thoughtfully with features and many small details one would not normally see provided by today’s builder.

Here are a few of my favorite features about this home:

  1. A beautiful workroom was constructed off the oversized garage. It’s not just any extra room, there’s a deeper meaning behind it, a place where one goes to create, feel inspired and fulfill a passion. The purpose of these types of room are typically overlooked because builders don’t often think about adding meaningful spaces.  The owners recognized the need for this space, creating this workshop, studio, art room, fulfilling a purpose.
  2. The owners may not have ever experienced the use of the second floor but there was big imagination in creating this space. The home was constructed with a future in mind, stunning features you will not see in many homes. The second level consists of an additional room, included in the homes appraised square footage but there is an additional 1188 sq ft, partially finished.  Elegantly designed for future use, one had intentions to someday use this space.  Whether you use it as is, or make it rooms to your liking, it exists and is waiting to be finished. It is unusual to find additional space of this size, where you can actually expand the homes sq footage and change the home’s value.
  3. Another small feature with big value is the Versa lift system.  Installed from the first floor utility room to the grand upstairs, there is a mini-type of lift.  You can move large objects, up to a certain weight, without having to move boxes by stairs. This small detail is another plus for the buyer, big value added to the home.
  4. The kitchen in this home is the central portal to its core.  It appears this kitchen was built as a centerpiece to all activity, abound with cabinets, a huge island, and endless counters that wrap around the perimeter. This space was created for entertainment, additional seating for big gatherings and a place to create substantial memories.
  5. Finally, one of my favorite features of this home is the screened-in patio, spanning the back from one end to the other. Few homes have this size patio and few are with screens.  This is a key place for entertainment, family and friends, bringing the beauty of the outside-in, while enjoying the pleasantries of nature without the nuances of being outdoors.

This home offers many attractive upgrades any buyer would love to have as their own.  Centrally located, home is situated in an established gated community in Conroe. Come view the home or contact Michele Marano, Central Metro Realty, for additional information. This is a grand home for grand memories to be made.
